Praying Mantis

We had a visit 9/19/06 from a praying mantis friend. We wanted to catch it, but didn't because we don't know how to care for it. The girls drew pictures of it instead.

 

la county fair 9/13/06

Emily took the kids to the LA County Fair. They sled down a real snow slope in LA! They saw a milking demo. and drank milk straight from the cow. There was a pioneer camp they made their own pioneer dolls. They played chubby bunny and Sophie won first prize. Horse racing was nearby, so they watched the horsies and their riders speed around the track.

Our family visited Zoomars Petting Zoo in San Juan Capistrano 9/4/06. We saw, held or pet bunnies, guinea pigs, goats, horses and birds. Sophie and Lily even got to ride a horse.
